Kozala Cemetery is rich in works of art, but one of them is difficult to see in moments of pain and forgiveness, when we are standing in front of the deceased, with a contrite look fixed on the ground.
Did you know that on the dormitories ceilings at Kozala cemetery, there are art installations made by the academic painter Zlatko Kutnjak written in Glagolitic script?
Renovation of the dormitories was done in 1994 according to the project of the engineer Damir Emili and the decorative works of the academic painter Zlatko Kutnjak. The letters are written in beautiful angular Glagolitic script, sometimes in round. Furthermore, some unusual forms of individual letters are performed with artistic freedom.
Among the hundreds of words, letters and signs, a consolation is written with the message:
“I am the resurrection and life,
there is really no death,
our homeland is in heaven…”
