Week of discovering european cemeteries 2018 will be carried on between May 28th and June 3rd 2018.

In this year we are exposing the properties and specifics of Rijeka central cemetery Drenova. A modern cemetery which brings peace to mind and soul of the visitor through it's green areas and views.

Week of Discovering Evropean Cemeteries: official event of Evropean Year of Cultural Heritage

The Evropean Institute of Cultural Routes granted the EYCH 2018 label to Week of Discovering Evropean Cemeteries.

All our events are therefore labeled as such and part of a broader project of promoting european cultural heritage.

Exhibition opening and guided walk

Within WDEC 2018 programe an exhibition and guided walk took place at Drenova cemetery in Rijeka.

One of the most important international projects taking place within the Association of Significant Cemeteries of Evrope (ASCE) is the Week of Discovering Evropean Cemeteries (WDEC).

ASCE

Largest and most influential organisation that takes care of cultural heritage in Evrope.

European Cemeteries Route

International project of ASCE started in 2010 and now includes over 60 touristic interesting cemeteries from 20 Evropean countries.
